I wish I could update you on the progress of my upcoming book Siren's Bay, but that will have to wait until I have a break from school. Until then, I hope you would like to hear about my current project! An experimental hydroponics system!
I have been tending to this hydroponics system for nearly a year. Currently, I have three heirloom black beauty beefsteak heirloom tomato plants. They have been budding and producing small fruits, but I have not been getting ripened fruit from them. I also have a brussel sprout plant that has grown exceptionally large but has not produced any brussel sprouts. I will keep you updated on their progress.
Yesterday on 17FEB2021 I detoxed the entire system and added:
2 Gallons of tap water
20mL Hygrozyme to combat algae
2.5mL Rapid Start to encourage new root growth
35mL Tigerbloom for nutrition
20mL CalMag for added nutrients
25pH Upper
As of 18FEB2021 my balance is as follows:
pH 7.0
ppm 1065
Hardness 120
Chlorine 3
Iron 0
Copper 0.5
Nitrate 250
Nitrite 20
I am currently pleased with this balance. I would like to gradually up my ppm, and lower my pH for the tomatoes. Today I planted two sets of marigolds to combat the bug infestation I am presently facing.
If you have any questions or tips, feel free to let me know!
